Walking in and around Norwich

We are fortunate to live in a very beautiful city that has many ancient sites but my favourite part of Norwich is the riverside walks.

Norwich is very special. Basically it is a large old market town with a rich cultural side to match. The wide variety of architecture with more or less a bit of everything adds to the flavour. Mousehold Heath lies within walking distance of the city centre. Hidden gems such as the Plantation Garden and Ketts Heights apart from all the public parks show a lot more to the place than just buildings. We are in easy reach of a large length of coastline, let alone two thousand square miles of rural area containing a whole plethora of interesting and unique places. That's why so many, like me, have come here from elsewhere and haven't the slightest intention of going anywhere else.

I enjoy walking alongside the river too. Living in Thorpe Hamlet means I have several routes into the city centre. It's a lovely city to walk around- so many stunning buildings as well as the parks. An intimate city too. My mum always enjoys her visits here so she's pleased I moved here too.

I like the riverside walks too, doesn't matter if its sunny or raining its always nice, the rain on the river makes nice patterns.
