Hi and seeing an empty forum I thought that I would start the ball rolling :-)
I am an ex streetlifer that is unhappy with the new format after the takeover and looking around this might just be a good alternative.

Also ex-Streetlifer hoping this forum becomes as successful and helpful as Streetlife once was.
Same here.
Likewise.
I'm having to repost the link to this site as apparently Streetlife have blocked it. Please spread the word before it closes to help those who want an alternative to Nextdoor, thanks
I've just swapped over from Streetlife as well ... Hoping this site will be as interesting / entertaining etc.

Hi
I'm swapping over from Streetlife too. Very sorry that Streetlife is closing and hopeful that this will be just as good if not better. Great to see that other Streetlifers are already here.
Hi - glad that a friend told me about this site. It's really sad that Streetlife is closing as it was such an easy to use site. Hope we'll get used to this one.
Sorry MF that your posts about the site have been blocked. I've sent a cryptic message and hope it passes the powers that be on Streetlife and is understood by other Streetlifers.
Onward we go.

It will take a bit of getting used to.
It will Jan but we are free of Nextdoor privacy policy 😆
Yup, me too. At first I was willing to give Nextdoor a go, but after careful thought i have changed my mind. I have now de-activated. Its a pity, as there were some things I liked about the site. But it is the privacy issue that is important. I have also read that Nextdoor is far more profit orientated, so I have fears about that too.
